Right now I’m with the IBM Corporation as Corporate Webmaster for ibm.com, dealing with interesting projects and problems every day. The Webmaster Team is responsible for 109 country portals across the globe, maintaining a 100% portal availability . My focus as UI Team Lead are the HTML template, the shared CSS and common Dojo code on ibm.com providing common features and design to all pages on the Internet and Intranet.

In addition to that I’m also responsible for the ibm.com Mobile Portal, some internal productivity tools based on PHP/MySQL and tons of other small tools and scripts related to www.ibm.com.

Prior joining IBM I studied Information Technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Wr. Neustadt – a very broad education covering a lot of interesting areas like micro controllers, electrical engineering, databases, programming, project management and much more. During that time I worked as freelancer on Web and coding projects, most of them already Web-related.

I am an IBM Level 2 Certified IT Specialist as well as a Zend Certified Engineer.

In my personal time I’m reading a lot (c’t, novels of Dan Brown, Brad Warner’s books, …), learn how to master Shaolin Kung Fu, study Hara Shiatsu or drive around in the city with my Italian friend. As you can also see from articles and blog entries on this Website I love to travel to see the most beautiful and interesting parts of the world. I’m also an Apple freak and trying to convince everyone to switch over to Mac OS, the iPhone and all other devices they have right now or will introduce in the future
